MINFLUX module

simple protocols with superior dyes

From sample preparation to imaging and analysis, MINFLUX uses simple, well established workflows. Labeling works as with any other type of single molecule localization microscopy.

And since abberior always takes a holistic approach, we offer FLUX dyes that are designed for superior performance in MINFLUX imaging applications. They combine exceptional photostability, very high brightness, and low background labeling with photoswitching kinetics optimized for MINFLUX imaging. Conjugates of our dyes show excellent solubility in aqueous buffers and allow background-free labeling in cells or tissue.

MINFLUX module

minima-seeking, not maxima-bleaching

While other single molecule localization techniques require huge numbers of photons to achieve maximum resolution, MINFLUX localizes fluorophores by finding out where they do not emit when excited with a hollow beam – minima-seeking, not maxima-bleaching. It thus achieves nanometer-scale resolution that was previously achievable only with electron microscopes, but with the gentler touch of light, and without pushing the photon budget.

MINFLUX technology, system and module

Our MINFLUX technology allows 3-dimensional localization precision of 2 to 3 nm in biological samples on fields of view of several tens of microns. With MINFLUX, molecular movements can be tracked with frequencies of up to 10 kHz, pinpointing the location of the tracked molecule every 100 µs.

Our MINFLUX system offers unprecedented spatial and temporal resolution in 3D, with two colors. It is 100x sharper than a confocal microscope and 100x faster than a camera.

Our MINFLUX module, that is seamlessly integrated into MIRAVA POLYSCOPE, allows single-color imaging with resolutions down to 3.2 nm in 2D and is 100 % as easy as any fluorescent microscope.
