DNA-PAINT MINFLUX kits

In collaboration with Massive Photonics abberior now exclusively offers a DNA-PAINT kit specially designed for MINFLUX superresolution microscopy. This kit features ready-to-use single-domain antibody (sdAB, nanobody) binders for DNA-PAINT imaging targeting GFP-tagged proteins. With the capability to bind up to two sdABs per GFP, each sdAB is coupled to a DNA-PAINT docking site, amplifying the signal of your target protein. Additionally, the kit includes imager strands with abberior dyes and all necessary buffers for immunostaining and DNA-PAINT imaging of GFP-tagged proteins. This comprehensive solution simplifies your experiments, providing unmatched precision and signal clarity.

The DNA-PAINT MINFLUX kits are available in two colors, at 580 and 660 nm wavelength.

  • Docking strand: DNA oligo bound to anti-GFP nanobody
  • Imager strand: dye-labeled DNA oligo
  • Transient binding of imager strand to docking strand –> “blinking”

Protein labeling kits

Our second offering is an innovative protein labeling kit, perfect for labeling a wide range of proteins, including polyclonal and monoclonal IgG antibodies, Fab fragments, and nanobodies with abberior STAR or FLUX dyes. Optimized for proteins larger than 4 kDa 1), this kit ensures quick and straightforward labeling, guaranteeing protein conjugates with remarkable brightness and photostability. Our high-quality abberior dyes react with free amines on proteins to form stable amide bonds under mild conditions, delivering consistent and reliable results. The ability to label up to 1 mg of proteins, with a minimum requirement of just 50 µg, makes this kit highly versatile. The included filter system achieves a protein recovery rate of 95 %, and over 90 % of the reactive dye is activated just before coupling, ensuring superior results. All necessary reagents and purification solutions are provided, making this kit a complete, all-in-one solution for your protein labeling needs.

Protein labeling principle
  1. Prepare protein (e.g. antibody) and fluorescent dye
  2. Add protein and reactive dye together and incubate
  3. Separate conjugated protein from excess dye by centrifugation and filtration

1) While proteins smaller than 4 kDa can also be labeled, separate purification using the ultrafiltration system is required. Please note, that this kit is not suitable for IgM proteins.
